Modded Machinima
I've begun a new Halo Machinima series that as of now has no name, but involves 3 Macs, 1 PC, and my brain.
Only I need some input from you guys. I am using LOTS of modding as you can see below (the HUD is missing), and I'm not sure whether or not to present the videos in widescreen 1.85:1 format (used today in big-production movies) or standard fullscreen.
Check out the pics and please respond:

What do you guys think? Oh, and by the way, if ya'll got any ideas for the storyline and plot, feel free to post about it. (^_^)

After much observation, I really can't decide which one is better.

The thing is, it looks awesome both ways. Widescreen is much more cinematic, yet fullscreen allows for a graphicly clearer picture (and obviously more image space).

Is that Halo PC?

Sorry for the DP, but I prefer fullscreen.

Obviously, that is Halo PC, Clay!

That particular scene was shot with just the Macs...

Fullscreen looks grainier for some reason.

The fullscreen picture is a raw unrendered image file. The widescreen picture has been rendered in FCP.
The pictures shown are not at full-quality, due to file size and capture settings in Halo. In other words, I can make it even more high rez if ya'll would like...

When I say Halo PC, I mean Halo for any type of computer.

Matt doesn't have a Xbox, Clay! Therefore, it is (what you consider) Halo PC!

Hey Austin, I went to the homeshow. Really nice performance. I would have stayed in the band if I could have. Pete, it's too bad you quit.
By the way, Austin, I noticed that you were playing the fugal horn (or something like that)... Did you switch from trombone permanently or just for the sake of exploration?
The UMass Lowell band was real bad-a55 too.

Wow Ryan I just noticed what you were talking about in terms of graininess in the fullscreen picture. Problem is is you see the image through a PC, the quality is lowered tremendously. (I'm not even joking, that's the way it is.)

Too bad I quit?! Don't get me wrong, quitting the band wasn't an easy decision, however, band is a huge commitment, and I don't regret quitting. Maybe I'll join the band in the future, but I don't know if I'm up to it.

widescreen, i've allways liked the movie feel of it and unless it cuts out something important its all good.(besides who needs to see that extra inch of moon anyway?)
