Not Good News.

I have just discovered that the guy who runs the Annual Rockets On Prisoner Awards has died. I don't know whether you care or not, but me and many others find it sad when an important member of the Halo community passes away. It is on many websites including High Impact Halo, HBO, and his own website (now run by his girlfriend). There is no news on whether the ROP awards will still be held or not. Many members of the ever-growing Halo community will mourn his passing (I'm not that attached to the Halo community, though). :(

  • I didn't have school today, but you guys had only a 2-hour delay. That's too bad, because we might have been able to finish filming the entire 1st episode today and I could then edit it over this week and vacation.

    The script is good, but needs some revision. I'm hoping that this is just the core, and isn't the entire episode word-for-word. There's always room to improvise.

  • Is the name of the episode itself going to be "Compilation 2" still? That title doesn't really work, in my opinion. With this type of series, it should be "Sans-culottes" itself or something action oriented like "Hard Drop" or "Insertion". Definitely not "Compilation 2". Using another word for episode in the title doesn't make too much sense. If you need someone to come up with titles, I can do it.

  • Compilation 2 is just an internal codename, and the project pathfiles are actually named accordingly. Which, I mean, pwns n00bs and stuff.

    Just like the first episode's codename was just Zanzibar. Ryan and I were sitting in an editing bay at BATV in the dark thinking of something to name the title of the second episode instead of just the regular "Episode 2". We thought of a few things like "Volume 2" and "Cut 2" and stuff. And Compilation 2 was born.

    No, Austin, it's definitely not going to be the episode's real title.

  • Dude, Jon, this editing job isn't getting dropped any time soon...

    I've probably spent at least over 200 hours so far just on these first 4 sequences in the overall first episode. We're talking pure dedication alright...

    During the production of "Insert Quarter to Purchase Health", I spent nearly 350 hours before the final export. And after that I spent another few hours fixing some sound issues and graphics.
    ....

    I'm not going to be anywhere over vacation, so we can spend a fair amount of time finishing filming the first episode of the Sans-Culottes Series. Andy, it'd be cool if you could participate in at least one of these LAN's.

    And one more thing... We can't have any more retards being idiots while we're filming and stuff. It just sucks to film a perfect scene and then have some n00b chuck a 'nade at the BIG pink camera man...
