"View From Heaven" - An Excellent HBO Film

I was reading the daily updates over at HBO recently and noticed a music video submitted by Belligerent set to the song View From Heaven by Yellowcard. This is one of those rare videos on HBO that I even consider to be a well done piece of machinima. The concept and feeling is great, and the video is short and smoothly progressive. The only thing that I would have edited differently would have been some certain mark-in/mark-out points that don't cut smoothly with the music.

Overall Rating: 8.79/10: Excellent

  • That was a very good video. It looks like they used a 360 to record. I was very impressed.

  • Wow, some good machinema on HBO for a change. If the HBO community thinks "Lament Prt. Jenkins" and that crap film about revenge were great, then our movie is going to make the n00buses heads' explode.

  • Let's do something today. I'm going to be bored most of the day.

  • Matt, where can I get good video ediing software? Movie maker barely cuts it.

  • Also, where can I find a good file hosting website? I would like to get a video hosted.

By the way, I'm making a BF2 machinima, and it is coming along nicely. I'll update you guys on it.

  • Well, I can provide you guys with the new Avid Xpress HD, but you guys have this thing against running "illegal" programs on your computer. So...

    .....

File hosting services that I use include:

    Flickr.com - For images up to 1024x768
Ourmedia.org - Host anything, but slow
HBO - As you know, for Halo stuff

You can host videos that have to do with a certain game on THAT game's fansite (like Halo on HBO). Just find a site that supports user-submissions.
