Recent Photography - 7/25/07

Here's a shot I recently tooled around with. We took multiple takes at this angle, and I think this one came out the best. This photograph was taken in the old industrialized section of Lawrence, MA near the south canal.

That isn't just black & white for kicks... Take a good hard long look at this photo composition.

See what this shot symbolizes for you. (please click to enlarge)

Thanks.

  • The same old familiar places. One might identify oneself with the faceless, identity-less driver of the (despite it's odd form) seemingly familiar and well-known vehicle. A toast to childhood, in which the world is only a few blocks wide, and the faceless and nameless are all well known.

  • Perhaps, it symbolizes the Wahttehhog's rise to fame. As we are, we are not too big, but we are on the way to fame. I think it's black and white to symbolizes the crappy equipment we have now.

  • For me, it symbolizes the dreamer that looks rather than strives towards that goal.
