  • Does anyone happen to have a Action Replay card that I could borrow if he/she is not using. I would like to film Ep. 3 completely in no-HUD high-def quality.

    Anyways, Lousis Wu and I have been emailing back and forth, and I've gotten all the details to him. He has also compressed a really nice version of our episode down to 82.5MB. So we're good to go there.

    Andy, get that LAN going. I want to start work on Ep. 3 before school starts up again, and I want to get the new members into a filming session, so we can teach them the ropes.

    "This was an excellent video, one of the most original ideas I've seen in machinima. The video clarity was great, the voices were nicely scripted and clear, and the audio was clear the whole way. The action was all performed beautifully, and most of the camera angles and music were good. Awesome effects too; the editing was nice. Job well done! I wish more movies could be made like this."

  • Hey guys, I was emailing Louis Wu, and I thought, "I wonder if the original "IQTPH" Submission Status review page is still around?

    So I asked Louis Wu if he would track that down for me, and he very quickly responded with the link.

    Ep. 1. Reviews

    You guys can now see the original reviews for "Insert Quarter to Purchase Health" and why the video surprisingly passed.

    Apparently, nearly all the reviewers found the dialogue to be quite funny. Thanks Ryan for all the humor.

  • About the weapon spawns that the reviewer mentioned, we could fix that in a simple way. Just set the weapon spawns to no spawn, and move the weapons to an unused part of the map.

  • I already have the Xbox S-Video HD cable for filming in high-def.

    Now, all we need is a Action Replay card, and then we can film in FULL-screen, high-res.

  • I found an XBOX Action Replay on Amazon for $25, if we want to pay a little each. I was reading up on Action Replay, and you are supposed to download saves. How does that give us a HUDless display?

  • Yeah, I check the reviews constantly.

    First of all the reviewers are supposed to to give their initial thoughts about the film and also give improvement thoughts about the film. THis means that have to give both viewpoints. What really matters though is the initial thought, because that's exactly what they are FIRST thinking as they watch the film.

    Anyways, that doesn't even matter. So far, each reviewer of our video has absolutely loved it. One reviewer gave us all green lights in every category they need to rate our movie in. The first reviewer gave us all green except for one (audio category).
