How does this have anything to do with the Wahttehhog? Well, when it comes time to film our real-life Episode section, many more ideas are available...

He's gonna' need some buffing...

Yes, this is the Master Chief. Doing his thing. I personally think this is a real kick-a55 piece. This guy (Mike Hill) is the sh1t.

Anyways, the image is 1713x1071 pixels large, at 347KB. The rendering shows MC making good use of the Warthog winch, and pWn1nG Alien f*ck7ArDs with cans-o'-whoopa55.

Download Mike's Masterpiece here. (Do the "Right-Click Save" thing, although it says the file is forbidden.)

The Halo Film

Yep, right on Bungie's front page. The "Halo Movie" has gone golden!! Ironically, a lot of people already consider Halo the game to be a "movie-come-to-life" all around them. The game was, to them, an interactive film. Albeit a kick-a55 n00b-paWn1nG one. (Sorry Pete.)

Personally, I don't think the movie is such a hot idea. "Halo" is a video-game. "Halo" will always be recognized as an awesome, if not the best, video-game ever created. It should stay that way. Anyways, read up on the Bungie Update here.

I don't know. Maybe it'll work out.

Alaska Finally Does Something Cool

Check this out. Neogentronyx This is a dude in Anchorage who built an 18-foot tall Functioning Mecha!!! This means three things: 1) Alaska has finally done something that justifies it's admission to the United States, 2) We actually constructed a ridable bipedal robot before Japan. Think about it, Japan's entire collective conscience is focused on nothing but giant robots and ONE DUDE IN HIS BACKYARD BEAT THEM. Which is to say that one guy bested the entire collective efforts of a first world country. 3) Battlebots is gonna kick ass with these things.

hold on and pray

I sent an email to my dad who works at fidelity investments Im not promissing anything but hes sending the email around to his budds at work dont worry i told them not to all vote from work and not to vote with the same ip address and email address so hopefuly it will help.

Web Server Update

Just to keep you guys up to date with what I've been doing to the server as well as progress made in general.

1. The web server is official running a text-based Linux OS known as FedoraCore, which is a RedHat Enterprise extension.

2. The site net has 9 actual static pages, a bulletin board software (forums) called phpBB (another extension of the php code), and this blog (linked from the site).

3. A big issue that has surfaced is protection. Not from the server, but from the other computers in my house (especially my Dad's, since his business is highly reliant on his computer's funcionality). What I'm going to do is install a second router within my family's ISP service so as to create, technically, a network within a network to say.

In this way, outside hackers couldn't possibly access the computers within the second network. By the way, I drew that.

4. I'm working on upgrading the server hardware-wise. I plan to install another 1GB of RAM (memory) as well as larger hard drives. Maybe a faster processor as well in the future although with web servers, processor speed is not that important.

Yep, if you have any Q's, ask them.

What If Homer Simpson Played Halo 2 ??

Actually he's not that bad, sort of like Pete:

Voting Tonight

Just a friendly reminder that voting FOR THE ACTUAL ROP AWARD begins tonight. If we made the nomination for "Best Screenplay" I expect you all to be voting in full force. Speculation says SVF and The Codex are going to get "Best Screenplay" nominations from the judges too, so this might be a David v. Goliath situation. E-mail everyone you can to vote, it's Viral Marketing! - Wahttehhog Ryan

!!!UPDATE!!!
Today, Sunday the 21st, the ROP awards have gone public. To vote, you must submit your e-mail adress, vote in EVERY CATEGORY, submit, and click on the confirmation link in the e-mail they send you. Please note: YOU MAY ONLY VOTE ONCE. If they see you voting multiple times they will disqualify our entry. - Wahttehhog Ryan

"Compilation 2"

Yep, Ryan and I began editing and voice acting Wahttehhog's Episode 2 today. We both definitely approve of the edit job that has been done so far, and I bet Bemus would also be pleased to see the work done and progress made. "Compilation 2" will neatly tie in with "Insert Quarter to Purchase Health" as well, and there will be (and already are) easter eggs hidden in the video.

Grade A 1337-neSs right there, you see.

I'm also back to having 5 hard drives plugged into my computer all the time. [v]

That totals to 250GB worth of disk space, ya'll do realize.

Guys, this Ep. is going to be GOOD, I'll promise you that. So GOOD that your stressed eyes'll drop out before your pounding brain can comprehend the sheer aWeSoMe-neSs of it all.

WTF Mate.

SVF Crap

Why is Sponsers Vs. Freeloaders getting so many votes? The show isn't really well put together, the voice acting is crap, it's not very funny, etc. SO WHY IS EVERYONE VOTING FOR IT???!!!??!!11?! The whole thing is basically just an inside joke for RVB forum users. A joke that rips on everyone who can't pay money to RVB. The SVF people should stop blowing their own horn so much and actually vote for something GOOD...like our movie.

Hey hey. I exported and uploaded this month's Newsletter in ".pdf" format, like everyone requested. Which means that the page is not a static image and will not distort much if you zoom in, for example.

H0LY SH1T!!!111

Man, I'm really psyched now. I just voted over at "Rockets on Prisoner Awards" and we are far in the lead for BEST SCREENPLAY. (14 people so far.)

Guys, don't stop voting. I just voted not a minute ago. I think we really just might win this, and serious am I.

By the way, if we win, the fact of pwnage puts a name on us, which equals more publicity.

The prizes if we win: (The REAL ice breakers...)
- Trophy with "Wahttehhog" and the vid name insrcibed onto the base plaque.
- Some gift certificate.
- Red vs. Blue is donating a selection of DVD seasons to winners of each major category. For us, Best Screenplay.
- T-Shirts. (Which if in singular form, goes to me.)
- More here.

SHUT UP AND GO VOTE FOR US NOW.

Rockets on Prisoner

Yet again mentioned, HBO announced the "Third Annual Rockets on Prisoner Awards" in today's News Updates.

Read their note on this here.

And for the love of Macintosh:

Update 1: Nominations just went public. Be sure to go to the Rockets on Prisoner site every day to nominate us. There are two nominations for our movie, so vote for the one authored by "Wahttehhog", as opposed to the one authored by "Wahttehhog Clan."

Update 2: I don't know if categories matter, as in if we all have to vote in the same category, but I voted in the "Best Screenplay" category, although I also pondered about whether the "Best Cinematography" would have fit the bill. Be sure you vote every day. I'm going to vote on each and every computer in my house, and at any other computer I touch for the next week.

Blogshares

Some of you perceptive ones may notice the bar in our footer. This is a blogshare index, and it shows that we are an officially traded company on the Blogshares market. It's a good way to get publicity. Don't worry, ownership isn't actually changing hands.

Awards

Hey, Hey. I recently decided to google "Wahttehhog." Much to my surprise, I discovered we've been nominated for an internet award. It has multiple categories and the top five from each category, as voted on by judges, will compete for the award. If we make it into the top five in any category, the voting starts August 16th. You should all vote and voice your support.

Wahttehhog Newsletter - July 05

WN - July 05: Issue 2

Guys just some notes on this Issue:

- Flickr.com only allows uploading ".jpg" files, which means I had to restore this original ".pdf" file into ".jpg". Therefore, it is now a "picture file", which sucks. But that's the way it is until the site is up (don't ask, because Ryan and I are kicking a55, and it seriously will be up really soon).

- Is the Newsletter actually too small? Because if it is, I might be able to enlarge future Issues. And then again, as soon as the site is up, they will be all available as their original file type, ".pdf".

I think that is all. (^_^)
